408 York Ave
Robson Hall is pleased to host the Laskin Moot on March 1 – 2, 2019 at the Manitoba Law Courts building, 408 York Ave.
The University of Manitoba Faculty of Law welcomes judges, practitioners and 19 teams of law students from across Canada to the appellate moot competition.
The Laskin Moot is named in honour of the late Right Honourable Boris Laskin, Chief Justice of Canada from 1973 to 1984. The Moot focuses on the areas of administrative and constitutional law, which were especially important to Chief Justice Laskin.
The moot is bilingual in that at least one mooter from each team must make both oral and written submissions in each official language.
The Chief Justices of the Manitoba Courts and their staff are graciously committing time and effort to assisting with this prestigious competition at the downtown law courts building.
