The Dean’s Office is pleased to welcome Robson Hall’s newest Faculty Member, Mr. Krish Maharaj. Assuming the position of Assistant Professor, Mr. Maharaj will be teaching first-year Contract Law and the Law of Trusts for the 2018 winter term.
Mr. Maharaj comes to us from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC where he is completing a PhD in Law with a focus on the law of private obligations, specifically, issues related to mitigation of loss in breach of contract cases.
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand where he obtained his Law degree, he has practiced in civil litigation in Vancouver and Edmonton. He has guest lectured in Contract Law and Commercial Transactions at UBC and has had work published in The Alberta Law Review and The Osgood Hall Law Journal. He has won several awards and fellowships including the Spencer Mason Travelling Scholarship in Law (Law Society of Auckland), the Law Foundation Fellowship (Law Foundation of British Columbia), and the UBC Four Year Doctoral Fellowship.
We are very much looking forward to having Krish as a new member of the Robson Hall faculty.
