A study of the law relating to various equitable and common law remedies.
Extended Course Description
COURSE CONTENT: The course (3 hours per week) will examine the process of choosing various civil remedies and will review both equitable and common law remedies including injunctions, specific performance and declarations. The Course will also emphasize general interlocutory remedies governed by The Queen’s Bench Act and Rules and provide a general overview of money remedies including damages, interest and costs.
MATERIALS: A casebook will be assigned. In addition, students may need to photocopy parts of The Queen’s Bench Act and Rules.
TEACHING METHOD: Lecture.
ASSESSMENT: Final examination (100%). Exam will be 3 hours duration and open book.
