The senior editor of the Canadian Journal of Human Rights who successfully completes his/her term of office, and all other student editors who in addition to successfully completing their terms of office satisfactorily complete a written requirement, may opt for the Canadian Journal of Human Rights credit.

Grading: Pass/Fail.

Extended Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION  AND ASSESSMENT: The two credit hour allocation is available as follows:

  • to the Senior Editor, on completion of his/her term of office;
  • to the other editors;

on completion of the term of office and the satisfaction of a writing requirement, to be in each of these cases some original work(s) of 10 or 12 pages in total and of appropriate quality;

  • to the other student editors, on completion of the term of office and the satisfaction of a writing requirement, to be some original work(s) of approximately 20 pages in total and of appropriate quality;
  • to students serving on the Journal staff, on completion of a term in office in which they have been actively engaged in Journal work and on satisfaction of a writing requirement, to be some original work(s) of approximately 20 pages in length and of appropriate quality.

Students intending to be eligible for this credit must apply for it, and such applications shall normally be made at the time that Course Selection is made or in any event, by the commencement of first term. Proposals as to the topics and scope of required work must be submitted and approved before registration of this credit is confirmed.
