AGPA Calculation

An applicant’s overall academic record is reviewed regardless if the courses were taken on a full or part time basis, in undergraduate or graduate programs, or in Regular, Evening, or Summer session. Once 90 credit hours have been earned, we begin dropping the lowest grades from the calculation.

If an applicant has completed:

  • 90-101 credit hours, 18 of the lowest credit hours (6 half courses or 3 full courses or a combination of) are dropped;
  • 102-113 credit hours, 24 of the lowest credit hours (8 half courses, or 4 full courses or a combination of) are dropped;
  • 114+ credit hours, 30 of the lowest credit hours (10 half courses or 5 full courses, or a combination of).

Note: A one term course is 3 credit hours and a two term course is 6 credit hours.
