Advocating for Justice and Reparations in Uganda – a conversation with Grace Acan and Evelyn Amony

On June 17, 2019, the Ugandan Cabinet finally signed into law the transitional justice policy. This comes more than 10 years after the conflict between the government and the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) stopped and after 10 years of advocacy by civil society groups and human rights activists. Grace Acan and Evelyn Amony are two of those activists and also the subjects of a new exhibit at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Ododo Wa, Our Stories. This panel will include Grace and Evelyn and other commentators.
