The University of Manitoba’s Master of Human Rights Program presents a screening and panel discussion of the Emmy Award-winning documentary short, THE NIGHTCRAWLERS.
An unflinching exposé of Filipino President Duterte’s war on drugs, The Nightcrawlers follows a group of photojournalists determined to document the ongoing crisis.
A 09:15am Winnipeg / 14:15pm UK screening will be followed by a 10:00am Winnipeg / 15:00pm UK panel discussion with multi-award winning Filipino photojournalist Raffy Lerma, and Dr. Rick Lines, Associate Professor of Criminology and Human Rights in the School of Law at Swansea University. The event will be moderated by Dr. Kjell Anderson, Assistant Professor of Law and Director of the Masters of Human Rights Law Program at the University of Manitoba.
