Event Title: “The Path Forward: Conversations around Reconciliation”

Date, time and location: Wednesday, September 28, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at the Law Society of Manitoba classroom, #200-260 St. Mary Avenue and via hybrid online.

Join the University of Manitoba’s two new Faculty of Law professors Dr. Leo Baskatawang and Dr. Daniel Diamond, along with Marc Kruse, Indigenous Legal Studies Coordinator, for a learning experience, sharing circle and lunch feast in honour of the second annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  The event will begin with a traditional ceremony.  The speakers will reflect on the progress we have made to date and the work that lies ahead.  You will have an opportunity to ask questions and participate in small group round-table discussions and a special community lunch.  The Law Society of Manitoba, Manitoba Bar Association and the Faculty of Law invite all members of the legal profession and law students to attend in-person or online.

This program offers 1.5 hours of CPD, all of which may be reported as EPPM (Ethics, Professionalism, Practice Management) hours.
