Bursary Eligibility Review

2026 Submissions

The primary consideration for bursaries is financial need. Pursuant to University of Manitoba processes, financial eligibility is assessed based on information provided by your province’s/territory’s student aid documentation, or for students who do not have government student aid, as calculated by the Financial Aid and Awards department in central administration. As such, in addition to submitting this form no later than July 31, 2026, students must also submit an application for the University of Manitoba General Bursaries, including the Law Supplemental Bursary Application form,  no later than October 1, 2026. If you do not apply for University of Manitoba General Bursaries by the deadline, or if your student aid organization determines that you do not have financial need (including but not limited to situations where a student receives the full amount of their financial need as assessed by the student aid organization), you will not be eligible for these bursaries, even if you meet all other criteria.

For clarity, please note that this is not an application and further documentation is required as outlined in the above paragraph.

Please note that due to the number of students who apply for these bursaries, we have limited funds and can only provide bursaries to the students with high financial need who meet all eligibility requirements.
